A little about me.
Healing happens in relationship — that's the conviction at the center of my practice. I'm a trauma-informed, attachment-based counselor working under the supervision of Fredericka Vyvlecka, Ph.D., LPC-S, and I work with individuals, couples, and families grounded in the belief that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and unconditionally loved by Him.
I bring personal insight as well as professional training to this work. I am a child of divorce with a parent who struggled with addiction, and those early experiences shaped my deep empathy for people navigating instability and loss. I was also married for 17 years before my husband unexpectedly passed away — a loss that deepened both my understanding of grief and my faith. These experiences are not incidental to my work. They are the reason I do it. You can hear more of my story on the Mourning Glory Podcast.
I hold a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University, where my formation was shaped by a deeply Catholic and person-centered approach to care. I am specially trained to work with trauma, addiction, grief, and suicidality — including certification as a Traumatologist through Green Cross Academy, as an ASAT Candidate for sex and pornography addiction, and as a CAMS-trained clinician for supporting those navigating suicidal crisis.
I am a member of:
International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals
International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy
Outside the therapy room, I'm a mother, a lifelong learner, and a woman of Catholic faith who has called North Texas home for the past 18 years. Before becoming a counselor I spent 25 years in special education — and that work, across Arizona and Texas, taught me something I carry into every session: that every person deserves to be met exactly where they are.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to connect and walk alongside you in your journey.
